POSTER WORKSHOP BASED ON THE RYSZARD KAJA: PLAKAT-POLSKA EXHIBITION

Event organized in partnership with the POLISH INSTITUTE IN BUCHAREST

Participants will learn to create a poster, from concept to complete execution, on a given format. Subject: Romanian tourism promotion posters based on concept, visual and technical solutions present in Ryszard Kaja’s work.

dr. Agata Kulczyk and dr. Marcin Markowski from the Magdalena Abakanowicz University of Arts in Poznan, Poland

Level: medium. The workshop is intended for students and professionals from the fields of visual arts and design, cinema, advertising.

Workshop programme

Day 1 – 10:30–15:30
10:30 Introductory course
What is a poster. How to develop a visual message in a poster.
Presentation of the work of Ryszard Kaja
Analysis of the themes that will be developed during the workshop.
11:30–13:30 Individual work. Sketches, concepts.
13:30–14:00  Break
14:00–15:30  The facilitators will assess the works of the workshop participants.

Day 2 – 10:30–15:30
10:30–13.30  The facilitators will assess the works of the participants.
Analysis of the chosen visual concepts.
13:30–14:00  Break
14:00–15:30  The facilitators will assess the works of the participants.
Digitalisation of the chosen ideas and further development of the works.

Day 3 – 10:30–15:30
10:30–13.30  The facilitators will assess the works of the participants.
13:30–14:00  Break
14:00–15:30 Presentation of the posters created during the workshop.

Requirements: short bio + letter of intent
Participants will bring own laptop / tablet with graphic design software (AI, PS recommended)

Costs (applying for confirmed participants only):
50 lei (10 Eu),
30 lei (6Eu) for students.
