In this talk, I’ll discuss my experience as a freelancer, as well as the opportunities and obstacles that platforms like Upwork and Fiverr present. I’ll provide helpful advice on how to create a successful profile, interact with clients, clarify intellectual property rights, and determine your rates. Even though the emphasis will be on illustration, professionals with various digital specializations may find the knowledge I give to be helpful.

Ioan Șopov

Ioana Șopov - The wild ride in making a game

„It’s a miracle any game gets made” – the trials of transitioning from independent artist to art lead in a small indie game development team, creating Bear & Breakfast. From prototyping an idea for a game and pitching it to publishers worldwide, to learning how to delegate and manage relationships with collaborators on the project, to marketing your game and nurturing a community centered around your project, indie development will always require you to wear a lot of hats. And if you add the technical challenges into the mix, well… it’s going to be a wild ride.
